One of the responsibilities of a student mentor is to conduct tutorials.

KE started running its programmes at Oxford and Cambridge (‘Oxbridge’), and the Oxbridge model has influenced the approach which we take.  One of the features of an Oxbridge education is the tutorial.  In a tutorial, a very small group of students meet with their supervisor to discuss a particular topic and the work which the students have submitted relating to that topic.  In our case, the supervisors are our student mentors, who meet a group of students once a week for about 30 minutes to talk to them about the work they’ve done, the progress they’ve made, and any questions they might have.  The maximum size of a KE tutorial group is 5 students.
