The KE Foundation – privacy policy

The KE Foundation, also trading just as ‘KE’, is registered in the UK as ‘Kingdom Education Group (UK) Ltd.’, in the USA as ‘Kingdom Education Group, LLC’, and in Canada as ‘Kingdom Education Canada Ltd.’.

This privacy policy describes how, across all its operations, KE manages and protects any information, including personal data, which you may provide to us.  Any information you provide through our website or by other means will only be used as described in this policy.

This policy will be reviewed periodically, and any updates will be listed here.

Except where otherwise stated, the points which follow, and sometimes addressed to ‘you’, apply both to students and to parents/caregivers.  (In accordance with standard practice in the UK, persons over the age of 13 are deemed competent to monitor their own personal data.)

How we use the information you provide

When you submit an enquiry or complete an enrolment form, and unless you inform us to the contrary, we assume that we may include you on our mailing list and, through emails, send you occasional newsletters or tell you about any new developments regarding KE, its programmes and related services.  Each communication will provide the opportunity to ‘unsubscribe’; you may also elect not to receive any more communications from KE simply by emailing us on info@kefoundation.org.

We gather and use your information to help us to provide our services to you; this information will include such contact details as you have disclosed to us, and records of our exchanges of information.

Our commitment regarding the information you provide

We do not share your information for marketing purposes with other companies.  We will not share your information with any outside parties unless required to do so by law, or with your express consent.

We will always strive to protect your information securely, and to do all we can to prevent access to other parties.  We are always open to suggestions as to how we may further enhance our security measures.

We keep data for 2 years; we will only retain it for longer with your permission.

Our website may contain links to other websites.  Please note that we have no control of websites outside our KE domain. If you provide information to a website to which we link, we are not responsible for its protection and privacy.

Use of cookies

Cookies are used to collect information on the use of our website and on visitor behaviour.  We may use this information to monitor the use of our website and to compile generic statistical reports.

You can set your browser not to accept cookies.  Please be aware, though, that certain features of our website may not function if you choose to do this.

Your rights

At any time, you have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you.  If you believe any of it to be inaccurate, please let us know; we will then amend as appropriate.  You also have the right to ask us to remove all your details at any time by emailing us on info@kefoundation.org.

Should you need to make a complaint regarding our handling of your information, in the UK you may wish to approach the Information Commissioner’s Office: https://ico.org.uk.

Specific points regarding enrolments through agents and schools

If your enrolment is facilitated by an agent accredited by KE, or through a student’s regular school, unless you inform us to the contrary and in writing, we assume that we may share with that agent or school any relevant matters relating to the enrolment and performance of that student on a KE programme.

Unless you inform us to the contrary and in writing, a copy of the KE report written on each student at the end of the programme will be sent both to the student’s parents/caregivers and to the student’s regular school; also, if applicable, to the agency which facilitated the enrolment.

You may change your preferences in this regard at any time by emailing us on info@kefoundation.org.
