Beyond the Classroom
At KE, we believe that education starts inside the classroom, but doesn’t end there. All of our programmes include activities designed to enrich your summer experience and prepare you for different aspects of life, at university and beyond.
Formal Dining and Etiquette
Learn to be the best and most refined version of yourself in KE’s dining and etiquette seminar, which will help you master the rules of formal dining. You will have the chance to enjoy a sophisticated three-course dinner, complete with a formal dress code and an elegant table setting. If you’re taking a UK programme, you will also enjoy a traditional afternoon tea with a variety of teas, cakes and sandwiches.
Sports and Leisure
Stay active during the summer by learning some of the national pastimes of the country you’re visiting. You’ll have the chance to try a selection of activities, such as cricket, croquet, baseball, golf, punting, beach volleyball and Scottish country dancing, depending on where you are staying.
Tutorials
Tutorials are a unique feature of our programmes. Influenced by the Oxbridge style of teaching, they offer a more personal approach to learning. Once a week, you will join a small group.
News Reviews
You’ll join our student mentors two to three times a week for a news review – a discussion on current affairs in the country you’re visiting. Not only do news reviews provide an introduction to life in the country, they also help you gain knowledge and express yourself with greater confidence.
