1) The 8 Characteristics of Successful People (30 to 40min)
The 8 Characteristics of Successful People is a short inspirational presentation that highlights how not every successful person gets successful the same way, but they all have some common characteristics.
This presentation is based on the extensive research conducted by Richard St. John who traveled around the world for ten years to conduct hundreds of face-to-face interviews with successful people. After analyzing everything he learned, he discovered these 8 characteristics that successful people all seem to have in common. We have adapted the presentation to be relevant for teenagers so they can learn how to adopt these successful characteristics and to develop simple strategies to be successful at school and beyond.
The 8 characteristics that successful people have in common are:
Passion - they love what they do
Work - they work really hard
Focused - on one thing and not everything
Push - to outperform and to reach their goals
Ideas - come up with good ideas
Improvement - constantly looking for ways to get better
Service - serving others something of value and meaning
Persistence - through failure, rejection, adversity and criticism
